Sedona is a famous hot spot for mountain bikers. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or hardcore mountain biker, you can find what you are looking for here in the red rock landscape.
With incredible views from virtually every trail, year-round rides and horseback riding for every possibility. It’s hard to imagine a better destination for this sport.

Beginners may want to start on Bell Rock to warm up, then switch to Long Canyon and Deadman’s Flat. When you’re ready to proceed to a more intermediate trail, consider trails like Aerie, Chuckwagon, or even Llama.
Trails such as Templeton and Mescal create a smaller challenge for intermediaries and run along the areas exposed to the cliffs. More advanced bikers can find trails like Slim Shady and Hiline for more difficult terrain. Deciding which are the best trails is no easy feat.
Perhaps the best overall trail in Sedona for middle-class mountain bikers, with a good mix of hilly hills. You can cycle from different locations, but the best option is to park at Boynton Canyon Trailhead. From here, the trail is really a candy, but the first part is interesting.
And you end up skipping this part if you start from Ahead Trailhead and just do a loop. From Boynton Canyon Trailhead, you will soon find yourself on an interesting curve, winding and stroking, before joining the main loop. When you join the loop trail, follow it counterclockwise.

The Mescal trail, rated as a green or moderate square, is a great trail to hone your mountain biking skills. This two-mile route combines challenging terrain, stunning views, and excellent skiing. This trail is not for beginners.
But strong intermediaries will find it a true test of their abilities. Part of the trail on the skirt of the Mescal mountains has some great slickrock. And the views of Courthouse Butte at a distance are spectacular. The road can be taken as an out-and-back from the trailhead off Long Canyon Road
